*** Welcome to the KNPR! *** Kracks Numbers & Patches Reader v1.0 KNPR is a new C&N file reader with a few new features. 1. KNPR has a Find command so you can quickly locate entries in the database. 2. Cracks can now be organized by Version number in a wider 80 columns display. 3. Supports linking Patch applications directly to your database using a new Patch Database file. 4. SNDB file format supports COLOR for easier formatting. This application is a reader only, not an editor. The editor will be updated and released once the reader has been fully debugged. Use SimpleText with the SimpleText Color Menu shareware installed to easily make color documents. The file structure for SNDB files is straight forward and simple. Just make sure to set the Type to "SNDB" and Creator to "KNPR". PDB files are nearly identical to SNDB. The names of Patch applications in the Patches folder must be identical to the name in the PDB file that matches your Applications entry. Make sure to set the Type to "PTCH" and Creator to "KNPR". I highly recommend creating patches using ResCompare. Another use for linking "patches" is to link it to a Serial Number Generator, installers for hardware copy protection emulators, etc. Text files can be formatted using either SNDB or SNKR (Cracks & Numbers) formatting, although you should use SNDB for color support. A very special thanks to Julian Skidmore. I have zero programming skill or ability, so I am forever greatful for his hard work. I am deeply ashamed to say that the LLM almost exclusively stole code from his "One Week Wonder" blog so that an idiot like me could instruct a computer to make a program. Thank you.
